It is important to be aware of our own ethnocentric views and work to reduce their effects, so it will not hinder us in learning about other cultures. Ethnocentrism can contribute to prejudice, contempt for outsiders, and intergroup conflict. Ethnorelativism: the perspective that no culture is superior to another. Viewing other cultures with as little prejudice and bias as humanly possible.
