On thursday, april 25, 2019, i went to the beckett life center located on north 16th street in philadelphia, pa. The beckett life center is a center for disadvantaged children who don"t have that guidance that they need at home. Beckett life center also has an after school program for the children called global kids . According to their website, the after-school program focuses on helping people obtain the skill they need to be successful both inside and outside the classroom . They wanted the kids to feel restored and renewed. The kids learn how to do their homework as well as other activities for them to learn and enjoy. The kids called the adults that worked there coaches because the worked there wanted the kids to see that they are coaching them through life. When i went with my group we waited in a room for the kids to arrive.
