What are the roles of fungi wellbeing? in nature and for human. Fungi : an eukaryotic, heterotrophic organisms that are able to develop a branched and tubular body, and reproduce by the means of spores. Fungi can break down organic material that is dead, playing a crucial role in decomposition. Fungi can also form symbiotic relationships with plants. Fungi inhabit the roots of plants, and supply more nutrients to them. Hyphae are thread-like, branching filament structures that make up the vegetative body of a fungus, which is called a mycelium. Coenocytic: these hyphae have no cross wall and are multinucleate hyphae. Directional growth is how hyphae will grow in response to a particular stimulus. When directional growth occurs, fungal growth will occur at the tip of the hyphae, which is known as the apex. Chemotropism involves apical elongation in response to chemicals and nutrients.
