Role theory: there are two types of pr practitioners, a technician and a manager. A technician is the one who carries out the goals/decisions of the higher up professionals. They have specific jobs which correlate with their specific skills (ex: graphic designer, press release writer, researcher). The managers are the ones who hole higher pr positions. They are the ones that work with other top positions (ceo, financial director, head of hr) to set company goals and solve company problems.
