The differences and similarities of those cultures. Globalization how societies are influenced by one another. Ethnology compares and analyzes the characteristics of different people and their relationships with other people. Ethnography an approach to writing culture- holistically. Study of customs and how they are dynamic into the future. Past customs, present, and how they will work into the future. Goal: to be unbiased, observe, and give a description of another culture. Ethnographic presence if you went into the cultural the way it has always been, its rejecting what history is saying stating that it will just stay the same. Anthropolgist are going in and giving one slice of history (aka rejecting the history as a whole) Absolute relativity we are not questioning what"s going and just documenting what is happening. This is not what we want to happen as anthropologist. Critical relativity society is not static, and u state the losers and winners of the situation.
