Natural services or natural capital that support life on the earth and are essential to the quality of human life and the functioning of the world"s economics. Ex: chemical cycles, natural pest control, and natural purification of air and water, bees pollinating flowers. Soil can hold and release water flexibility, providing flood control and water purification benefits. Renewable: can be renewed by nature within a reasonable amount of time ex: solar energy. Nonrenewable: not easily replenished by the environment ex: iron. Yes they can such as an aquifer, which is water stored underground. If people are draining it faster than it is being refilled then the ground above the aquifer can crush it and cause it to be unable to be filled up again.
