We must respect everyone in this class to make it successful. Spontaneous play group: competitive physical activities with no formal organization. Organized teams: competitive physical activities on a sponsored competitive team in an organized league. Organization completed before gathering- know who"s on what team, rules, etc. Goal is to win or improve your standings. Game is to win/ move up in your status. Ex: sport psychology, pedagogy, motor learning and behavior. Burstyn- sport has a lot of the same elements as religion does in our society. Sport- institutionalized competitive activity with physical skills and specialized facilities or equipment with accepted rules to determine a winner, can change based on beliefs and attitudes. Biophysical domain: physical activity through biomechanics, physiology, and medicine. Sociocultural: physical activity through history, philosophy, and sociology.
