Usually cause by viral pathogens such as rsv, adenovirus and parainfluenza virus common in children 2 and younger. Highly contagious signs and symptoms last 3 to 7 days: wheezing retractions, pharyngitis, decreasing oxygen saturation low to moderate fever tachypnea. Nursing care isolation: educate about warning signs of a worsening condition symptom relief.
