Sampling frame- a list of individuals from which we draw our sample. Simple random sample- a simple random sample of size n consists of n individuals from the population choesn in such a way that every set of n individuals has an equal chance to be the sample actually selected. Response variable- is a variable that measures an outcome or result of a study. Placebo effect- a dummy treatment with no active ingredients. Matched pair designed experiment- compares just 2 treatments. Block designed experiment- the random assignment of subjects to treatments is carried out separately within each block. Double blind experiment- neither subjects nor the people who work with them know which treatment each subject is receiving.
