Transition iep occurs: the student enters grade 9 the student turns 14 the ccc determines the need. Article 7: provides multiple procedural safeguards for both parents and students, designed to promote parental participation and also ensure that students with disabilities are provided a fape. I: introduction: article 7, special education overview. Initial evaluation request, written notice, consent: conducting the educational evaluation. Independent educational evaluation: comprehensive and coordinated early intervening services. Iii: case conference committee: participants, meetings, responsibilities, decision making. Iep development: positive behavioral interventions, strategies, and supports, after the iep is developed, when a student with an iep moves. V: early childhood special education: transitioning from first steps to childhood early sped, early childhood sped services for a student not participating in first steps, different services. Vi: preparing for transition from school to adult life: tiep, transfer of rights, summary of performance. Purpose: develop/revise the transition iep, depending on purpose, the ccc may include other people.
