Soc 3549: numerical data, observations are on the x-axis and interval frequencies on the y- axis, constructed based on grouped frequency distributions. Show the shape of the distribution: frequency polygon (line graph, numerical data, consist of points connected with a line instead of bars, helpful when comparing sets of data, stem-and-leaf plot, similar to horizontal histogram but made of numbers. Relative standing: quantiles = ways to divide data, types = percentiles, quintiles, deciles, quartiles.
