Developmental state- a nation-state in which the government carries out policies that effectively promote national economic growth. Welfare state- a set of public policies designed to provide for citizens" needs through direct or indirect provision of pensions, health care, unemployment insurance, and assistance to the poor. Regulatory state- the inherent authority of a government to impose restrictions on private rights for the sake of public welfare, order, and security. Parliamentary system- is a system of democratic governance of a state where the executive branch derives its democratic legitimacy from the legislature (parliament) and is also held accountable to that legislature. In a parliamentary system, the head of state is normally a different person from the head of government. Stabiilization- the durability and integrity of a current government regime. This is determined based on the amount of violence and terrorism expressed in the nation and by citizens associated with the state.
