You are not doing your part seek truth for it"s own sake: process of seeking yourself when you be redeemed. In what context is he telling us this: you can"t blame god for the evils people are committing scapegoat, empower above them, book 5, you read the scriptures but you shouldn"t take them literally. They think of god as a physical being but he isn"t: this is where augustine meets/talks with the bishop who answers all questions. He doesn"t find truth in what the bishop is saying. Goes because he doesn"t like the students in carthage but roman students have a reputation of being more disciplined. But you forced me to change countries for my salvation.
