Troposphere: (ground level to 10 miles above) site and source of our weather. Stratosphere: gases in the atmosphere above the troposphere (10 to 40 miles above the surface). Temperature increases with altitude and contains high amounts of ozone. *mesosphere and thermosphere are found about the stratosphere. Weather: mediated by the atmosphere (day- to-day changes) changes in temperature, air pressure, wind, humidity, and precipitation. Climate: (long term) weather patterns in a region.
