Overview: cultural norms and biological predispositions, shift is rare, influences by power of man, two-sex, two-gender model, family involvement is different. Do things your gender is supposed to do to meet cultural expectations: games and sports- play behavior leads to adult behavior, unconscious influences, children learn to be gendered by watching their parent of the same sex. Gender and male domination: focus is on the structure of society, hierarchies of dominance and power, economic and political system, patriarchy- male dominance over women, sex-gender system, capitalism and socialism.
