Test is heavily weighted towards the first chapter. Life span vs. life expectancy (life span is longer) It"s life long and continues on through death. These are all interelated on each other in complex ways and there"s not one that"s more important than the other. It"s multidirectional: some things are going up and some things are diminishing at the same time. Like physical may be going down but their vocabulary is going while processing speed is going down. Not just psychology looks at development, sociology, medical fields, etc look at it as well (lots of different contributors to the field). Plasticity is another main component, and contextual is the last main point of development. Non normative is the second category of the contextual field so a total of three contextual influences. Erikson- be familiar with the different stages and what stages go with what age.
