Document Summary

Science is a process of understanding the world. The name for the process is the scientific method. The scientific method consists of three parts, making observations, dissecting these observations, and assuming the future is like the past: the scientific method. Then leads to the creation of a model. Based upon the observation you can construct a hypothesis. You cannot do science on what you cannot see. Testing your hypothesis is the last step in the process. Nothing can happen unless you begin with an observation. The difference between each of these scientific method cycles is that your model gets better because it becomes more accurate. The goal of science is to create really good models. Hypothesis- an untested explanation or prediction that it not consistent with the model, we must constantly change it . Theory- a hypothesis that has been tested and confirmed real validity. Have different species and organizations: characteristic of living systems.
