Document Summary
Students will submit three 2-3 page response papers this semester. The objective of these papers is to engage course texts in a critical way so as to indicate knowledge of the texts" major ideas and to indicate critical reasoning skills through argumentative analysis and direct interaction with the texts. This assignment is not to be a book report. I am interested in how you respond to a major theme in the text, not in a recounting of the author"s ideas. These assignments will be submitted via assignment drop boxes (located on blackboard) and will be due at 11:59pm on their due-dates. Late papers will incur a 5% deduction for each day late (5 points per day late). Papers turned in after 11:59pm will be considered late (even at 12:02am). Papers that do not meet the 2 full-page requirement will receive a 10% grade deduction (10 points).
