Introduction: law- a system of principles and rules devised by organized society for the purpose of controlling human conduct, the purpose of law is to avoid conflicts between individuals and between government and citizens. Constitution and to federal laws: statutes, statutory law- law enacted by a legislative body, normally the us. Congress, a state legislature, or a local governmental unit such as a city council: statutes have priority over judicial decisions, such as those created under the common law. Justice administered according to fairness created in order to temper the strictly formulated rules of the english common law: remedies of courts of equity. Injunction: courts provide relief before a wrong occurs, special performance, defendant must perform specific act. In some state, water law governs geothermal water, particularly if the geothermal steam is integrated with the regular surface and subsurface water system.
