German"s expected to be treated well at versailles. Unfair because everyone actually responsible for the war, were gone. Forbidden to have a navy and an air force. Could only have 100k men in their army. Forced to admit the whole war was their fault, and their fault alone. Because it was their fault, they were forced to pay for reparations they couldn"t afford. Unfair punishment germany received caused a legend to come to explain how they lost.
