In the mid 1800"s the first soda produced. Coca -cola"s company shortly made their product with just a little bit of cocaine added. John s pemberton invented the soda in 1886. The beverage became so popular it went on sale for five cents a glass. From 1930 the prices ranged from 30 cents to four dollars to purchase 1 soda. In the early 1900"s tons of sugar had been added to the soda. Today, there is about 39 grams of sugar in a typical soda can. This way anyone could consume a soda from any container. In 1970 people were using bottles for soft drinks. Later down the road sodas were being sold out of bottles. The soda pepsi was man made by an inventor named caleb bradham. Pepsi became first then coke arrived a few years later. Still today pepsi has more calories, sugar, and caffeine than coke.
