(notes 2) There was the paleolithic time period (old stone age), and the neolithic time period (new stone age). Neolithic revolution- pottery, cultivation of wheat, etc. , domestication of animals, irrigation and stone tools. Priests, tax collectors, metalworkers, scribes, schools, and housing were all part of the further development of early civilization during the neo. Raised mound west of the lower city. A lower city with no walls, but had uniform houses & city blocks. They were a very literate and were highly civilized for this time. Their language was a system of symbols that were used on custom seals to mark an i(cid:374)di(cid:448)idual"s property. Indus people were seafaring, trading peoples and communicated with other literate communities.
