Anyang- consisted of the shang and the zhou. Fu hao"s tomb was the first intact tomb discovered at anyang. Oracle bone inscriptions- the kings, especially the zhou king, consulted their ancestors and the gods on every matter that arose in court. Oracle bones were placed in a fire and the bones were left to crack. After they cracked, the diviners interpreted the cracks to see what advice the gods had given.
