Pyramidal: the main subject takes up the middle triangle of the canvas. The colors used for mona lisa come across as very warm. The yellows and bit of red create that warmth. Width of the head in sculpture is used to measure how far the shoulders come out. Form & content: terms that describe the 2 basic directions of study in this course. Styles of art (4): realism, symbolism, abstraction, nonobjective. Elements of art: line, shape, mass, space, value(light), color, texture.
