Evidence of bloodstains: appearance, location, and distribution of bloodstains and splatters, stains size, shape, and locations, surface texture. It is necessary to measure the degree of circular distortion. The impact angle on flat surfaces: blood drops are circular at right angles, stains become elongated as the angle decreases. Blood splatters origin: the stains converge on a 2-d plane. Impact sends blood backwards: forwards has more force, more is sent forwards than backwards, pull back of a weapon whips blood back. Blood cast-off: ex: hammer used to strike an individual, with each strike blood in picked up on the hammer then pulling it back for a new strike flicks the blood off. Voids: ex: a person who was moved from a crime scene but the blood that was released from the individual outlines where the body was. Chromosomes: humans have 46 chromosomes, 23 pairs of them, 1 pair of the chromosomes are the sex chromosomes.
