Know trends in immigration and migration in europe, the refugee crisis has led to major social and political issues within europe but has also led to diverse societies and multicultural policies. Migration occurred well before 2014, starting back with the rise of anti-immigrant sentiments. European states have helped produce understandings about international migration with the free movement of eu citizens and restricted entry for other people: why do people migrate, according to the readings, there are many reasons people decide to migrate. Although the government must respect due process and equal protection of the law for everyone, only citizens can vote. Citizens are born in the us or are foreign-born naturalized citizens. Children of non-white immigrants were us citizens under jus soli but their parents were not citizens. Women also did not not have seperate naturalization rights until 1920. Indigenous communities relate to environmental and human rights. There is a need for more inclusive political solutions, technological change.
