In some cultures, once you hit 12 you"re a full adult, in some cultures you live at home until you"re married. Hypothalamus sends chemicals to pituitary glands, pituitary glands sends out lh and fsh, gonads provide androgens and estrogens. Describe timing/sequence of puberty trends, early/late bloomers. Boys: moody behavior, voice boxes enlarge, grow hair. A girls first menstrual cycle comes late in the pubertal cycle. In early adolescence girls outweigh the boys however, later on it switches.
