Machiavelli: leaders need to be dictators to show people he has power. Hobbes book explained why people gave leaders power and opens the door to future thinking of the relationship between leaders and people. Guilds: made of workers and managers, independent self governing, not concerned with the increase of production but maintaining quality, own means and tools of production. Labor power: source of all value, peasants possess this power but not good or tools, merchants pay peasants for this power.
