Likewise, erasmius darwin believed that all life shared common ancestry and that the mechanisms of species was not clearly formulated yet. The topic of evolutionary change and thought continued and made a true impact to society with jean baptisite. Lamarck was one of the first scientists that came up with bold theories to explain evolution. Lamarck came up with two proposed laws: lamarck believed that if an organism began to use more of an organ than they had in the past, it would increase in its lifetime. Furthermore, when they stopped using an organ it would eventually become vestigial and shrink. Also the trait changes due to use/disuse can be passed down to offspring.
