Document Summary

Describe physiological function of the mine, minc, mind, slma, ftsz, etc. Min system is the system to determine the position of the ftsz protein polymerization. Ftsz protein forms a ring at the midpoint of cells during division and attracts other proteins to form the division septum. In forming the division septum it eventually squeezes the mother cell at its center to form two daughter cells: min system and nucleoid occlusion system are what forms the septum in the middle of the cell. Min e oscillates from pole to pole and is frequently at the mid-cell. Min c inhibits ftsz polymerization and associates with the membrane bound atpase. Min d prevents formation of the z ring: min c and d form mincd complex. Slma: inhibits cell division by disassembling ftsz polymers of the z ring: binds to dna and inhibits ftsz ring formation close to the dna to which they are bound.
