The exam consists of several multiple choice questions and one programming question. The concepts cover the material in the textbook sections listed below. This material was discussed in the lecture, but there may be some concepts we did not discuss in much detail, so it would be a good idea to read the sections in the book when studying. I write the exam questions by looking at my lecture outlines and then writing questions which test to see if you understand those definitions and concepts. For example, comments are discussed on p. 28 of the textbook (we discussed these in lecture 4). There- fore, if i want to see if you know what a comment is and why they are important, i might write a question such as: the purpose of ___ is to ___ the code for human readers.
