Role model someone who a child looks up to and they can model: stereotypes can be for; Dress: gender schema is defined as a mental building block of knowledge that contains information about each gender". Gender schema: this means that the mental building block (schema) is strengthened or changed as we learn more information from the world around us. Gender schema contain information about behaviours, clothes, activities, personality traits and roles for males and females. Stereotyping: by stereotyping we make a snap judgement about someone and assign them into that category, most stereotypes give a bad impression but some i. e. all fat people all jolly are positive impressions. They believe that gender schemas develop with age.
