Somatoform disorders (short answer!: fall somewhere between psychological and medical disorders and refer to physical symptoms that have no physiological basis, not to be confused with psychosomatic disorders, types: Mental disability takes on a physical form. Minor physical ailments are misinterpreted as major issues. Dissociative disorders: to dissociate/separate from something else, dissociative amnesia/dissociative fuge, multiple personality disorder. These people can start as one person, then become another completely different personality without knowing the other ones exist.
