In this document, we hope to highlight some key points on mtm and outline how to succeed. The software used in the lab is kroll. For those interested in learning about the software ahead of time there are youtube tutorials available, however there should also be a practice lab in early january where you can familiarize yourself with the software. In the mtm labs there are two components: cognitive skills, which consists of, taking a verbal prescription (one prescription, prescription processing (two prescriptions, prescription checking (two prescriptions, drug information question, patient care skills (ie. , patient counselling) In this component, a clinical instructor (also known as a ci; usually they are practicing pharmacists) will be calling in a prescription. You are to pick up the phone, listen to the ci, write down the prescription which later you will process in kroll.
