Document Summary

Man (humans) is like a treadmill that goes through everyday life; eat, sleep, work etc. also encountering problems along the way. !, because human nature forces us to continue living and also because we are still animals (refer to pg. 239) The truth is that our nature impels us to carry on. We have wants and the capacity to satisfy them, and instinct and training dictate that we do so. We live as long as we can, as well as we can, and we do so because we are the kind of organisms we are . Unlike our ancestors we do not go through the same problems (such as; varying supply of food). Today, we live in a more privileged society thus our problems have shifted form to thing such as; income, prestige, status, self-esteem; mostly, they arises from social and psychological issues.
