Document Summary

Cell phone use has seen an unprecedented growth in the past decade. There are more than 285 million cell phone subscribers in us alone and more than 5 billion users worldwide (boice jr et al, 1211). An increase in the use has been accompanied with an increase in controversies with cell phones. One of the leading controversies is whether the use of cell phones could lead to cancer. Children and teenagers are amongst the heaviest users of cell phones that make it ever so important to investigate the link between cell phones and cancer. If cell phones do cause cancer than the potential danger is far too big to be simply ignored and hence needs to be comprehensively investigated immediately, before it is too late for our future generations. There are two conflicting schools of thought when it comes to this debate.
