Scientists and many rational, educated people assume that if facts presented about problem, people or policy makers will act. Positivism, the belief in the supremacy of facts is why many scientists hold the pus view. many or most highly educated people are positivists. Are we in a post-fact world? i hope not . Because acc is a wicked problem, what is to be done with the facts is up in air. Different stories can be told weaving together these facts, or a few important lies can be believed in (hillary and emails) Corollary: is a reason why hillary lost is because she had lots of facts, but no story weaving them together .
