Washes his face with water, electric razor, girlfriend (told him to use tea tree oil), mostly black heads and white heads (commodonal acne), only has face involvement. Only been like this for a couple of months, but got worse in the summer (sun screen, tea tree oil, football helmet, got worse). Endocrine problems, depression, gi conditions- oral therapy, want to know about gi system, gi upset, antibiotics can cause gi upset (especially arithromycin- top antibiotics used for acne), some can cause diarrhea especially if they have history of gi problems. Which needs to be taken with food- isotretinoin must be taken with food, with fatty foods. Need a liver screen if they get put on isotretinoin. Iodine and salt- not common that they produce acne, vitamin b12- possible, not probable. Family history and age are the most important here. Folliculitis- shaving, could be triggered by the shaving, could get an infection of some sort its possible.
