Organizations as a system: an organization is an open system. It must interact with the environment to survive. It must continuously interpret and act on environmental change. Includes all other five forces but in an international context: political, economics, technological, societal, competitive. Sustainability: goals of a sustainable business, economic= market a profit, social equity= meet needs of people, environment= protect environment.
