“I am a living member of the great family of all souls;
and I cannot improve or suffer myself, without diffusing
good or evil around me through an ever-enlarging
sphere. I belong to this family. I am bound to it by vital
bonds.”~ William Ellery Channing

with them deeply in the present.” ~ James Kouzes and

Engaging with the community requires a certain degree
of self-understanding. Having a sense of who you are as
an individual and a worker will help to enhance and make
your community experience that much better. This lesson
will give you some tools that you can use to gain insight
into who you are, and will hopefully enable you to make
better decisions about where and with whom you would
like to engage in the community.
