Document Summary

Law and society relate to one another and nothing in existence can be explained without the pair. For instance, the society becomes inhospitable without law, meaning that changes in law must adhere to changes in the society. Law makes the society very peaceful; therefore, it is important to have a harmonious relationship between law and society. Law and society are related to each other. Law also needs to be changed according to the changes the society faces, because without the necessary changes law cannot keep pace with society. Without the control of the law, the society became the jungle or at least barbaric. So, to keep the society peaceful, we need to create a harmonious relationship between law and society. Black-letter law: refers to the basic standard elements or principles of law, which are generally known and free from doubt or dispute. It describes the basic principles of law that are accepted by a majority of judges in most states.
