So basically, a lot of this course is teaching us first principles and showing us how to manipulate those first principles to create a general condition for any fluid mechanical problem. Then, taking that general condition and using it to create a formula to solve a specific class of system. What"s important is knowing the general conditions, so you can apply them to your circumstance. I"ve highlighted them on the formula sheet and section 4 review. So it"s that second step that you gotta know, and that second step that i"ve tried to highlight. You don"t really need the first step or first arrow except maybe for definitions. The second step is how you"re going to solve the different variety of problems you will be thrown during the exam and that is what"s important to know.
