Units of measure: physical phenomenon- measured quantitatively using an interval scale. Study of how and why physical objects move and/or change shape: kinematics, where and when, kinetics, why. Time: monotonically increasing quantity related to the monotonic increase (only goes in one direction) of chaos in the universe. Space and distance: we accept the existence of a three-dimensional spatial universe, distance is the measure of space. Angles: planar angle- figure made by two intersecting lines or planes, various measures based on portions of a circle, 1 circle. *all of these units of measure are dimensionless. Matter: physical body or substance that occupies space (as a solid, liquid, gas, or plasma) and can be perceived by one or more senses. Properties of matter: volume (v, how much space a material body occupies, unit litre (l) = a cube 10cm x 10cm x 10cm.
