Document Summary

The physical environment is (abiotic factors/environment) the ultimate determinant of. Where organisms can live the resources that are available to them the rate at which their pop can grow. How clouds form earths surface is covered with water. When sun hits earth surface it begins to warm it air becomes warmer (gains energy), moving faster lifts cool air sinks. 2 bands of high pressure happening at 30 degree north and south (dryer) subsidence creates bands of high pressure. Global atmospheric circulation cycle of lifting and subsidence happens in two different places north/south. 2 hadley cells on either side of the equator low pressure/ lots of precipitation (tropics) Most of the land is in the northern hemisphere (more temp variation) plenty of water/friendly temperatures climate zones - temperate deciduous forest. Major currents created by atmospheric circulation cells carries warm/cold water from one place to another currents also impact local climate on coast lines.
