Giving the space for emerging adulthood provides unparalleled freedom. Identity exploration: can be more thorough or free given the nature of this stage of life. Instability: could relate to new responsibilities, new freedoms, finances, moving out etc. Self-focus: goes back to that whole not depending on anyone and not being depended on concept. Less influenced/related to relationship with parents than in adolescence. Women put more imp. value on sibling relationship in this stage esp. Esea(cid:396)(cid:272)he(cid:396)s defi(cid:374)e f(cid:396)ie(cid:374)dship as a (cid:373)utual (cid:396)elatio(cid:374)ship i(cid:374) (cid:449)hi(cid:272)h those i(cid:374)(cid:448)ol(cid:448)ed i(cid:374)flue(cid:374)(cid:272)e o(cid:374)e a(cid:374)othe(cid:396)(cid:859)s behaviours/beliefs, and they define friendship quality as satisfaction derived from the relationship. Predominantly based on feelings and reciprocity and choice.
