The second midterm for philosophy 1370 will take place in our class on thursday, march 14. On the midterm you will be given 7 of the questions listed below, and you will have to answer any five of them. Each of your answers should be approximately to 1 page, single- spaced, (about 200 words) in length, although some of your answers may be a little longer, others a little shorter, depending on the question you are answering. Transplant tourism involves individuals leaving their own country and travelling to another for the purpose of receiving an organ transplant, often from the black market. For example, individuals may return to their home country with complications and/or infections from transplant surgery. Health conditions for organ donors" are often very poor, and the donors" often give their organs for money. The donors often are laid off work due to being unable to return to work following the surgery.
