Document Summary

Immunology- the study of our protection from foreign macromolecules or invading organisms, and our response to it. Mycoplasma- they only grow on non living organisms. Only has one nucleic acid, rna or dna. Surrounded by a protein shell which is known as a capsid. Viruses attach to cells, inject a nucleic acid called penetration, it hijacks all the synthetic processes within a cell, makes more viruses and leaves/invaders other cells. There"s no nuclear membrane but it has dna and rna. Takes a longer time for division for it has to be in a good temperature and such conditions. Some bacteria, such as mycoplasma, don"t have a rigid cell wall, hence they are more fragile. Consist of unicellular or multicellular plants and organisms. No, we have a massive amount of bacteria in our body, especially in our gi tracks (e-coli). We need those bacteria to help us digest and process our food allowing us to live a healthy life.
