Each nucleus contains a complete set of genes whereas any cell type has just a subset of that info (uses smaller part of the dna) Each new strand has half of the parent strand and half a new strand. *once the ribosomes leave the nucleus, they cannot get back in since they are needed to support protein synthesis. Histoproteins come from the cytoplasm into the nucleus.
