Health- the overall condition of body or mind and the presence or absence of illness or injury. It encompasses physical, mental, social, emotional, environmental, occupational and spiritual issues. Wellness- optimal health and vitality, encompassing the seven dimensions of wellbeing: physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, environmental, intellectual, interpersonal. Physical fitness- it is the body"s ability to function efficiently and effectively. It consists of five health(body composition, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance) related and six skill(speed, agility, coordination, balance, power, reaction time) related components. Transtheoretical model- stages before and throughout making a lifestyle change. (precontemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, maintenance, termination) Goals- model to help set specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time specific goals. Stressor- any physical or psychological event or condition that produces stress. Stress response- the physiological changes associated with stress (acute or chronic). Stress- the collective physiological and emotional responses to any stimulus that disturbs an individual"s homeostasis. (3 types: environmental, physiological, emotional)
