Individual aging is the progression and maintenance of one"s life from infancy to old age. Canada"s population is changing in terms of absolute number as well as the proportion of older adults are expected to increase. Demographic transitions summarize the historical dynamics that have lead to changes in the population. Epidemiological transition describes the changes in causes of death for that population.
